As was the test when I let my brother play a bit of the game in his first PS VR2 run: "why are their robots if it's prehistoric?" "Is this the girl you play as in the other games?" The answers are A: I don't have time to explain play Horizon. B: yes, Aloy, the protagonist of the core Horizon games, makes a very short appearance near the start of the game. "I'm playing as a Shadow Carja." I know they're a bad group from Horizon Forbidden West, but it will be confusing for anyone else playing this game. This is a wild assumption, but as I got about an hour into Horizon Call of the Wild and realised the game was not attempting to explain the world to new players, I had to shrug it off. They'll not only want to purchase Horizon Call of the Mountain as the one key-launch game, but they'll also have been big enough PlayStation fans to have already played the previous Horizon games. Sony has bet on a particular type of consumer for those buying their new headset.
